This one day conference comprised seven training sessions, focusing on a range of topical legal issues relevant to financial institutions in Asia. On 29 June 2005, the Japanese Diet approved controversial new legislation which could require foreign companies, including certain banks and SPVs, currently incorporated outside Japan but which conduct most of their business in Japan and/or have a branch in Japan, to reincorporate in Japan.
